We advise booking a bagpiper as soon as possible, especially if you have specific musical requests, or are hosting a special event. That said, we sometimes handle last-minute bookings and may be able to find you a bagpiper at short notice.

How much is a piper for a wedding or other event? Our typical hire prices for an event in the Mississippi Gulf Coast area start at $250, and may be higher depending on the length, location and weather of the event. The more complicated the request, naturally, the more expensive it will be.

If you’re shopping around you may see bagpiper hire prices which are both lower and higher than what we charge. We believe our prices represent very good value, considering that we are an established and actively competing group, presenting quality music and Highland Dress for your event.

Please note, these are typical prices we charge for piping in the Gulfport - Biloxi - Ocean Springs - Pascagoula area. The prices may be slightly more or less, usually dependant upon the length of time required of us and if we need to travel far. They are negotiable unless a commercial site is used.

St. John’s Pipers does not operate as an agency so there is no commission or agency fee added to the cost. You negotiate with and pay the piper(s) directly. Our agencies charge a commission but allow for credit card and secure payments. Fees there are NOT negotiable as a result.
