St Pats Celebration at Val’s in OS, 2022
Doc, Quinn and Elizabeth playing for the dancers and general audience. In 2022, this was a St. Patrick’s themed night at Val’s on Government Street, with an Irish band (Steve, Eyler featured), Irish dancers and three of our pipers creating a festive atmosphere we all enjoyed. Great food too. Sadly, this was to be the last time we would hold an Ocean Springs St. Patrick’s night at the restaurant. As with all things, Val’s has decided to concentrate on more local cuisine and atmosphere.
It seems sad that things change. Once there was an Irish Pub on Government Street we used to play at. The Flying Irishman was several blocks west of Val’s, and became The Fields Sports Bar (before it closed).
